Tonight at church this sweet elderly man sang "It is Well With My Soul" The words to this song are so profound that it was still on my mind as I got home from church. So I looked up the history to this song. Simply amazing to know what this family went through and how strong they were for their Lord. I'm not sure I would be after going through all that, but I do know that was an encouragement and a blessing to hear this song and to read about how this song came about. Oh to know that this many years later their life is still blessing others. Will our life be a blessing in years come, better yet will we be know for serving our Master.

Tues Tues.

You would think it was Monday.. Just felt like Blah all day! But it is okay. At least I got to be with my sweet family. Just one of those days.
Morning routine going before we headed out to our Homeschool group. then on to the Gym class that the YMCA puts on for homeschoolers. Today's schedule was stretches, games , then the pool. Which is good because we are working on Gracie's fear of water. It is getting better but this helps so we don't have any set backs. I attempted to get in with David but he wasn't feeling it much today...Maybe it was to cold for him. So home to start supper then., Chili it was! Nothing to fancy....Housework etc.......and then around 7:00-3:30 no sign of David and it was quiet. That little boy was in his room with light out in the bed. I asked him what he was doing and he said it's dark night night time. So I said ok, lets say our prayers and he let me know he already did. I asked him, how and he said ...to Jesus. Good night mommy, love you..Well don't guess he needed me tonight...:)

Weekend.

Friday I went to the Ladies Conference at Gospel Light. (It is a yearly tradition for the girls in my family) It is always such a blessing.
Sat. Work around the house and getting the Winter clothes out...Yuck. I don't like being cold. But I don't like being in a hot scratchy sweater. Yes I know that is different. The only thing I like about the Winter is if it is cold enough in the snow. The snow is so pretty and yes fun to play in.
Then Sat. evening Chicken stew over at Martha Anders. ( I just love her) with the Ritchey family. Thinking maybe I should fix chicken stew sometime. Not that I can't just always left it up to everyone else....haha.
Sunday - how thankful I am of our church. We have been blessed with a great church. Sometimes I am guilty of this. But I went in the main service for a few of the choir songs and then went back to our 5th grade class. There were 37 precious children. That is right 37 of them. It seems like the class is growing. This class is amazing at how well behaved they are...
For lunch we headed to Chili's to eat for Aaron's birthday then headed to the mountains to Geigh's. But first stopped at Temple for church. It was great to spend some up their. The kids were excited. David didn't take a nap at all going up he kept asking us, "Going to Geigh's?" Then back home in time for Jonathan to get to college.

Creation Celebration at church on Wed. night. The kids could dress up as an animal that God created or either a Bible character. So David Wayne was a Doggy. Gracie as Miram. She had asked for weeks for this. At first I was not sure how I was going to pull it off. I am not very creative nor do I know how to sew (wish I did) and did not just have material laying around. I finally just decided to take her angel costume that she had wore for several years already apart and tied a burlap belt around her. Not the grandest but it worked and she was happy! ..
After church the adults lined up around the gym and the kids walked around and got candy. They stayed dressed up during classes on Wed night.

Pizza Making

Yes from scratch. They had so much fun making their own pizza. No worries David Wayne made his own pizza by his self too! Only wish I had got a picture or video of him trying to knead the dough. It was hilarious!

Rocket Time

 
So the other week in our homeschool group for science Gracie had the option of bringing in a rocket and they were going to set them off. Not everyone did but yes this little girl did. The day it was announced I was work and my mom took her to the group that morning. And when I came home they told me what was going to be happening the next week and guess what yes that Nana went to the Hobby shop and got a Rocket for her. And for certain her daddy had just as much fun putting the rocket together. The had fun painting and gluing and all that you do to put a rocket together...

Sunday Morning

This was taken the Sunday morning just a couple of weeks ago in Madison Virginia before heading to church before daddy was preaching.! It was a raining Sunday! But a great day! The kids cooperated well the spirit at church was just right.

FAST Day

     Today was one of those day where there were not enough hours in the day. House work, homeschooling-trying to work with both of them. David thinks he needs to work on school work when sissy does. And getting clothes and such ready for consignment sale for the Christian School. That is a job in it's self. On top of that I have had 6 big boxes be delivered from the famous UPS delivery man from thirty one so I have had fun separating everyone's order. Love putting it all together and think about what a blessing thirty-one has been for extra cash for our little family. Thank you Lord. Then out to deliver them. Jonathan even delivered one box load tonight after church for me...All before 4:45 when we leave to go to church. We have visitation and then take the teens out to eat before church. Get the kids to their class and need less to say when I got in the auditorium to sit down I just had to take a deep breath. My body had stopped from all the "stuff " I was doing today. It's so nice to be able to have the Wed night service to help keep you strength  for the rest of the week.

 Has nothing to do with my day, but I LOVE LOVE watching the sky.
 
October 3rd we loaded a bus load of 38 teenagers and headed to Georgia. There was a youth revival on Friday evening and Sat. We left Thursday afternoon and Friday morning we took the teens to the Coke museum in Atlanta and then to the Varsity to eat. We are truly blessed to be able to be involved in such a great group of teens. They had a great time together and the services were just what we needed.
 
Yes we took Gracie with us and she is doing school work on the bus. I am really not that bad of a mom, but really wanted to her to get her school hours in since we were not going to do any on Friday.

David has a new bike

 
Last year at Christmas David Wayne got a bike. As soon as it got warm out side and the kids were out more, well one day Jonathan ran over it . David didn't understand he kept saying my bike is broke oh no my bike broke. Literally for months he was saying this. The worse part he would keep asking Jonathan "Daddy you can fix it?"
So one Sat. morning I went out to a few yard sales. Had not went all summer but decided to look around this particular morning. You can find some really great stuff, new or even barley used. Well you guessed it I found my little one a new bike. I was so excited and he was too when he seen it..."It's for me?"
 
 
 
 

Happy Birthday David Wayne

Yes I am way way behind. But here I am... Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet little boy! You are such a blessing. Getting your party together was a challenge but it all worked out. Different places I called to reserved were all booked up. We partied at Freedom Baptist church picnic shelter with Jake and the Never Land Pirates. You were a hoot. Asked what kind of party you would like to have and for weeks you said you just wanted a Mickey Mouse party. That was not helping Mommy very much because you already had a Mickey party. So it all worked out and the planning began and you decided on a Jake party. It was on Sunday afternoon after church.

Snack- veggies, goldfish, cheese balls, grapes and more  Oh and of course cake.
The kids enjoyed playing with bubbles, on the playground, Jake big bouncy balls, and playing in the sand looking for treasure.
